Botticelli v Maastrichtu

Jedním z lákadel letošního veletrhu TEFAF v Maastrichtu bude obraz Madona s Ježíškem a Janem Křtitelem od Sandra Botticelliho.
Veletrh se koná ve dnech 12 až 21. března. Obraz bude nabízet galerie Simon C. Dickinson, která působí v Londýně a v New Yorku. Cena je odhadována na 15 milionů amerických dolarů. Od 30. do 80. let byl obraz v držení rodiny Rockefellerů, proto bývá uváděn také pod názvem Rockefellerova madona.
Botticelliho aukční rekord má hodnotu 7,5 milionu amerických dolarů. Za tuto částku byla v prosinci 2006 v Londýně vydražena jiná autorova Madona s Ježíškem, sice rozměrnější formát, ale po umělecké stránce méně zajímavá práce.
