Zprávu o prodeji Toyen za 13,2 milionů korun zařadily v pondělí 26. 4. všechny hlavní deníky na titulní strany.

 

Aukční rekordy jsou jednou z mála výjimek, kdy média věnují výtvarnému umění tolik pozornosti. Stejně tomu bylo například i loni, kdy Galerie Pictura vydražila obraz Spící za 20 milionů korun. Srovnatelnou pozornost dokáží vyvolat ještě krádeže obrazů slavných mistrů, objevy nových, dosud neznámých děl Leonarda da Vinciho a skandály Davida Černého.
